Get Free Quote

Studio Gang Architects, the Chicago-based firm, designed this boathouse along the Chicago River. Opened in 2013, the 22,620-square-foot complex includes a stunning indoor rowing tank, which comes in handy when the seasons change and it’s too cold for outdoor practice.

By creating a key public access point along the river’s edge the requirement by this project was to improve the quality of the Chicago river, supporting its ecological and recreational revival. Black Locust Lumber,  provided Decking out of the organic, durable, rot-resistant Black Locust.
